About HopDog

Gregor Fransson, certified beer sommelier and metal head, dreamed of a place where he could listen to good music, drink great traditional beers from small family breweries and eat damned good hot dogs until the wee hours of the morning. Fate stepped in when he met Avery and Janet Glasser, two American ex-pats hailing from Connecticut, home of the legendary Hot Dog Trail, who believed in Greg’s vision.

Fate stepped in again when they found the perfect location for the bar. Even though it was the start of the Pandemic, the trio decided to go for it and build a place for hops, dogs, heavy metal and rock ‘n’ roll.

Since they’d all be spending lots of time at the bar, the three partners agreed that they wanted the hot dogs to be not only be tasty, but made without any fillers, anything artificial and using only quality meats.

Together, they created three distinct hot dogs, ranging from a classic American dog to an all new beef and lamb spicy dog. Avery also created a trio of signature toppings based on some of his favorite hot dog joints around his home state.

In June, 2020, HopDog opened its doors opened at Auenstr. 100 in Munich and the hot dogs were an immediate hit. Soon, customers started asking if they could get packaged dogs to go, so they could make them at home and bring them out grilling.

Now, HopDog is ready to start selling their 100% bio filler-free hot dogs and signature sauces to everybody.
